The 40th Victoires de la Musique celebrated four decades of French music with a mix of nostalgia and fresh talent.
Held on Valentine’s Day at La Seine Musicale, the ceremony featured standout performances, including Alain Souchon’s updated rendition of "Foule Sentimentale" and an electro twist by Justice with the Fontainebleau choir.
Zaho de Sagazan and Pierre Garnier were among the night’s big winners, taking home awards for Best Female Artist and Male Revelation, respectively.
The Olympic ceremonies, praised for their musical diversity, won Concert of the Year.
However, the event faced criticism for its lengthy runtime and predictable format, with moments like Thomas Jolly’s politically charged speech standing out.
Despite its flaws, the night showcased the richness of French music.
