The French parliamentary commission investigating school violence has announced plans to summon Prime Minister François Bayrou for questioning.

The commission, led by Fatiha Keloua Hachi, is examining decades of abuse allegations at schools, including the Notre-Dame-de-Bétharram scandal.

Bayrou, accused of knowing about early complaints, denies the claims but has stated his willingness to cooperate.

The investigation, which includes over 100 complaints, aims to uncover systemic failures in preventing abuse.

Victims, education officials, and political leaders will be heard, with a final report expected by June.
