French actor Gérard Depardieu is facing a potential trial for alleged sexual assaults and rapes against actress Charlotte Arnould.
The Paris prosecutor's office has requested that Depardieu, 75, be tried for incidents that allegedly occurred on August 7 and 13, 2018, at his Paris residence.
Arnould, who initially filed a complaint in 2018, saw her case dismissed in 2019 due to insufficient evidence.
However, she refiled in 2020, leading to Depardieu's indictment in December of that year.
The case has been under investigation, with recent developments suggesting enough evidence to proceed to trial.
Depardieu, who denies all allegations, is also set to face trial in October for separate sexual assault charges related to a 2021 film shoot.
