A tragic fire broke out early Saturday morning at a care home for the elderly in Bouffémont, Val-d’Oise, claiming the lives of three residents.
The blaze, which started around 7:20 a.
m.
, prompted a massive response from over 100 firefighters.
The facility houses around 80 residents, including 30 in a protected unit.
Authorities believe the fire began in the laundry room, though the exact cause remains under investigation by the Montmorency gendarmerie.
A NOVI emergency plan was activated to manage the situation and assist the victims.
