In a shocking escalation of gang violence in Marseille, two individuals were killed in separate incidents linked to the ongoing conflict between the DZ Mafia and rival gangs.
On Wednesday, a 15-year-old boy was brutally murdered, stabbed fifty times, and burned alive after a failed intimidation attempt.
This act of violence was reportedly orchestrated by a 23-year-old gang member from prison, who had recruited the teenager for 2,000 euros.
In a retaliatory move, the same gang member hired a 14-year-old to carry out a revenge killing on Friday.
However, the plan went awry when the young hitman mistakenly shot a 36-year-old VTC driver, Nessim Ramdane, in the head.
Ramdane, a father of three and amateur footballer, was an innocent bystander with no ties to the drug trade.
These incidents highlight the increasing involvement of minors in gang activities and the tragic consequences of such violence.
The Marseille prosecutor has opened an investigation into these homicides, underscoring the urgent need to address the city's gang-related issues.
