French President Emmanuel Macron has responded to the recent legislative elections with a call for dialogue among 'republican forces'.
In a letter published in regional newspapers, Macron stated that 'no one won' the elections, despite the left-wing alliance Nouveau Front Populaire (NFP) securing the most seats.
The President emphasized the need for a 'solid, necessarily plural majority' to govern effectively.
This move comes after Macron dissolved the National Assembly in June, leading to elections that resulted in a fragmented parliament.
The NFP has interpreted Macron's stance as a denial of the election results, while the President positions himself as a protector of national interests amidst political turmoil.
