A year after the disappearance of 15-year-old Lina in Alsace, significant developments have emerged in the investigation.

The interim prosecutor of Strasbourg, Alexandre Chevrier, announced that evidence strongly suggests the involvement of Samuel Gonin, who committed suicide in July.

DNA from both Lina and Gonin was found on ropes in the trunk of a car he drove, indicating that Lina was tied up at some point.

Despite the discovery, many questions remain unanswered due to Gonin's death.

Lina vanished on September 23, 2023, while walking to a train station to meet her boyfriend.

Although extensive searches were conducted, no trace of her has been found.

The investigation continues, with hopes of finding Lina alive, as authorities remain committed to solving the case.
