Paris 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony Update

Published: 2024-07-24

The opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics is set to take place on July 26, featuring 3,000 artists and 6,000 to 7,000 athletes along the Seine River.

After negotiations, the SFA-CGT union announced that a strike by dancers has been averted following a partial agreement on their pay for television rights.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on France 2 and Eurosport, starting at 7:30 PM.

The event will showcase a spectacular 12-part performance, with the athletes parading on boats for the first time in Olympic history.

However, concerns remain regarding the health and safety of performers, particularly those working on contaminated rooftops.

The identity of the individual who will light the Olympic flame remains a closely guarded secret, with speculation surrounding several high-profile figures.
