Southern France is experiencing a mix of severe weather conditions, with violent storms and heatwaves affecting various regions.
The recent storms have led to a drop in temperatures across the country, but have also brought risks of flooding, particularly in the South-West.
Météo France has issued an orange alert for rain and flooding in five departments: Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Gers, Hautes-Pyrénées, Haute-Garonne, and Ariège.
Meanwhile, the South-East, including Alpes-Maritimes and Corsica, remains under an orange heatwave alert due to persistently high temperatures.
Although the intensity of storms in the North-East is decreasing, the weather remains unstable with scattered thunderstorms expected.
As the week progresses, calmer weather is anticipated, except in the extreme South-East where storm risks persist.
