In a tragic incident on Mont Blanc, four climbers from Korea and Italy were found dead after being trapped by severe weather conditions for three days.

The climbers, who embarked on their journey without a guide, succumbed to exhaustion near the summit.

Rescue efforts were hampered by poor weather, with initial attempts to locate the climbers by helicopter failing due to cloud cover.

Eventually, an Annecy-based rescue helicopter managed to land and discovered the bodies just 100-200 meters from the peak.

This incident adds to a series of fatal accidents on Mont Blanc this summer, highlighting the mountain's perilous conditions.

The Bonneville prosecutor's office is investigating the tragedy.
