France to Celebrate Annual Sports Day

In a move to celebrate the success of the Paris 2024 Olympics, French President Emmanuel Macron has announced the establishment of a "National Sports Day" to be held annually on September 14. This initiative aims to emulate the spirit of the Fête de la Musique by bringing sports celebrations to streets, schools, and sports complexes across the country.

The announcement comes on the eve of a grand parade on the Champs-Elysées, where 350 French Olympic and Paralympic athletes will be honored.

The event will feature a parade, a concert, and a DJ set, transforming the iconic avenue into a vibrant celebration of athletic achievement.

This new tradition seeks to unite communities in cities, towns, and neighborhoods, fostering a nationwide appreciation for sports and its champions.
