Published: 2024-07-30

The French women's épée team narrowly missed out on gold, settling for silver after a tense final against Italy, ending with a score of 29-30. This match took place at the Grand Palais, where the team, featuring Auriane Mallo-Breton, Coraline Vitalis, and Marie-Florence Candassamy, fought valiantly but fell short in the golden touch round.

Earlier, they had secured their place in the final by defeating South Korea and Poland.

Meanwhile, the French Olympic team has been performing well overall, with a total of 18 medals, including one gold and four silvers, after just four days of competition.

The excitement continues as more events unfold in Paris 2024, with athletes like Léon Marchand aiming for additional medals in swimming.
