Olympic Flame Lights Up Paris on Bastille Day

Published: 2024-07-14

The Olympic flame arrived in Paris on July 14th, Bastille Day, marking a significant milestone in the lead-up to the 2024 Olympic Games.

As part of its tour through the city, the flame participated in the traditional military parade, which was exceptionally held on Avenue Foch due to Olympic infrastructure on the Champs-Élysées.

The flame's journey included stops at iconic Parisian landmarks such as the Panthéon, Notre-Dame, and the Louvre.

Over 540 torch bearers, including celebrities and athletes, carried the flame through the streets of Paris.

This event not only celebrated the upcoming Olympics but also commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of France, blending national pride with Olympic spirit.
