Oriane Bertone, a 19-year-old French climbing sensation, recently competed in the combined climbing finals at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Despite her impressive skills, she finished in 8th place, missing out on a medal.

Known for her prowess in bouldering, where she is the 2023 vice-world champion, Bertone struggled with the difficulty segment of the competition.

Her journey in climbing began at the age of 8 on the island of La Réunion, and she quickly rose to prominence, joining the French national team at 16. Although she didn't secure a podium finish, Bertone remains optimistic, viewing the Olympics as just another competition and looking forward to future opportunities.

The event was dominated by Slovenia's Janja Garnbret, who claimed the gold medal, reinforcing her status as a leading figure in the sport.
