A high-speed police chase in Paris early Saturday morning resulted in a crash involving three police vehicles and a fleeing car.
The incident began when a driver refused to stop during a routine traffic check in the 14th arrondissement.
The pursuit ended in the 15th arrondissement after the suspect's car collided with a traffic light, causing a pile-up with the pursuing police cars.
Ten officers and three occupants of the fleeing vehicle were injured, though none critically.
The driver and two passengers, aged 19, 22, and 30, were arrested and are under investigation for endangering lives and driving under the influence.
Paris Police Chief Laurent Nuñez praised the officers' bravery, while a police union called the situation intolerable.
The case highlights the growing issue of drivers refusing to comply with police orders, with over 2,300 such incidents reported in Paris last year.
