A recent survey by Ifop for the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (Crif) reveals alarming levels of antisemitism among French students.
Over half of secondary school students have heard derogatory remarks about Jews, with 21% witnessing Jewish peers hiding their identity.
Common insults include phrases like "sale feuj" and "ça gaze?", with some students even deeming such language acceptable.
The findings come as the French Senate prepares to host a conference on antisemitism in schools.
The issue is exacerbated by the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which has heightened tensions.
The French government has reported a sharp rise in antisemitic acts, with 477 incidents recorded in schools during the first quarter of the 2024-2025 academic year.
This troubling trend underscores the urgent need for action to combat hate and foster inclusivity in educational settings.
