The Rassemblement National (RN) has confirmed it will not support the Socialist Party's (PS) motion of censure against Prime Minister François Bayrou.
RN deputies criticized the motion as a "diversion" aimed at opposing Bayrou's remarks on "migratory submersion.
" RN leaders, including Thomas Ménagé, stated that while they are open to future censure opportunities, "the time is not right.
" The PS motion, based on Article 49.2 of the Constitution, seeks to challenge what it calls the "trumpization" of government policies.
Meanwhile, Bayrou faces mounting pressure over allegations of abuse at a Catholic school, which he denies knowing about.
Despite the controversy, RN remains firm in its decision to abstain, citing broader political strategy.
