Tragic Bus Accident Near Andorra

A tragic bus accident occurred on a mountainous road near Andorra, in Porté-Puymorens, Pyrénées-Orientales, on Sunday afternoon, resulting in at least three fatalities and several injuries.

The Spanish bus, carrying 47 passengers, overturned after hitting a cliff on the RN 320 road.

Emergency services, including over 120 firefighters and 70 gendarmes, were deployed to the scene, with support from Catalan and Andorran firefighters.

Due to the challenging terrain, four helicopters were used to transport the injured to nearby hospitals.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident, and a psychological support unit has been activated for the victims and their families.
