Vendée Globe 2024: A Global Maritime Challenge

The 10th edition of the Vendée Globe, often dubbed the "Everest of the Seas," has set sail from Les Sables-d'Olonne, France.

This prestigious solo, non-stop, and unassisted yacht race around the world features 40 sailors, including 34 men and six women, representing a record 11 nationalities.

The race covers 24,300 nautical miles, with participants navigating around the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Leeuwin, and Cape Horn.

The event, celebrated for its intense challenge and global appeal, promises to captivate audiences worldwide.

The current record, set by Armel Le Cléac'h in 2016-2017, stands at 74 days, with the first arrivals expected by mid-January.

This year's race is marked by a mix of seasoned sailors and newcomers, each vying for glory in this ultimate test of endurance and skill.
