The Crown of Thorns, one of Christianity's most revered relics, has returned to Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
This sacred artifact, believed to have been worn by Christ during his crucifixion, was saved from the devastating fire that engulfed the cathedral in April 2019. On December 13, 2024, a grand ceremony marked its return, with a procession led by the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre and attended by thousands of faithful.
The relic, displayed in a modern reliquary designed by Sylvain Dubuisson, now rests in a cedar and glass structure, symbolizing its spiritual significance.
The Crown, preserved in France since 1239, continues to inspire awe and devotion, standing as a testament to resilience and faith.
