Notre-Dame de Paris has reopened its doors after five years of restoration following the devastating 2019 fire.
The iconic cathedral, a symbol of faith and history, welcomed visitors and worshippers back on December 8, 2023. The reopening has sparked emotional moments, including personal spiritual awakenings and the return of traditional Christmas celebrations.
The cathedral's choir, Maîtrise de Notre-Dame, has resumed its enchanting performances, filling the restored nave with harmonious voices.
While most of the cathedral is accessible, the north and south towers remain under renovation, with plans to reopen in 2025. Visitors can now admire the renovated structure, including the "forest" of the grand roof.
The restoration has not only revived the building but also reignited its spiritual and cultural significance.
