Notre-Dame's Glorious Return

Published: 2024-11-29

Notre-Dame de Paris, ravaged by fire in April 2019, is set to reveal its restored splendor on November 29, 2024, following a five-and-a-half-year reconstruction.

President Emmanuel Macron, who pledged a swift restoration, will visit the cathedral, marking the completion of this monumental project.

The restoration, funded entirely by private donations, involved 2,000 skilled workers and has been hailed as a collective triumph of French craftsmanship.

The cathedral's reopening is scheduled for December 7, with a grand ceremony planned.

Despite political challenges, Macron aims to highlight this achievement as a symbol of national pride and resilience.
