France Unites Against Racism and Extremism

On March 22, tens of thousands gathered across France to protest against racism and the rise of far-right ideologies.

In Paris alone, over 20,000 people marched, with similar demonstrations taking place in over 160 locations nationwide.

Protesters highlighted a 58% rise in racist crimes since 2019, blaming the normalization of far-right rhetoric in politics and media.

The event also faced controversy, including a divisive caricature by a left-wing party and antizionist slogans from some groups.

Despite these tensions, organizers emphasized the urgent need to combat racism and discrimination, calling for unity against hate and extremism.
