Julien Bayou, former leader of the French Green Party (EELV), has been cleared of allegations of harassment and abuse filed by his ex-partner, Anaïs Leleux.
The Paris prosecutor dismissed the case due to "absence of infraction," following both internal and judicial investigations.
Bayou, who resigned from his political roles during the controversy, criticized his former party for its handling of the accusations, calling it "unfair and scandalous.
" Despite his legal vindication, Bayou expressed concerns about the lasting impact on his career and reputation.
He has since returned to work as a public law attorney but remains vocal about the ordeal, describing it as a "long calvary.
" The case has sparked debates within the party and beyond about the balance between addressing allegations and ensuring due process.
