The 116th Michelin Guide ceremony in Metz celebrated the best of French gastronomy, awarding 78 new stars for 2025. Christopher Coutanceau and Hugo Roellinger were the highlights, each earning three stars for their exceptional culinary artistry.
Coutanceau, known for his sustainable seafood approach, reclaimed his third star after losing it in 2023. Roellinger, blending marine flavors with spices, dedicated his stars to his family.
The event also saw nine restaurants achieve two stars and 57 earn their first.
Michelin's green stars for sustainability surpassed 100, reflecting a growing focus on eco-conscious dining.
With over 700 attendees, the ceremony underscored the enduring prestige of the Michelin Guide, now in its 125th year.
