Paris Feminist March Defies Ban

A controversial feminist night march in Paris proceeded on Friday after a last-minute court ruling overturned a police ban.

The march, organized by the Assemblée féministe Paris-Banlieue, aimed to protest against anti-LGBTQI, racist, and colonialist rhetoric, as well as to support Palestinian liberation.

Initially banned by police citing public order concerns, the court found the risks unsubstantiated.

Around 3,500 participants gathered, chanting slogans like "We are all children of Gaza" and carrying banners advocating for bodily and political autonomy.

Organizers emphasized the intersection of feminism with anti-capitalist and anti-racist causes, declaring that "Palestine is a feminist issue.

" The event remained peaceful, countering fears of unrest.
