Severe Floods Hit Western France

Western France is grappling with severe flooding after days of relentless rain and storms.

Over 1,000 residents have been evacuated from the Ille-et-Vilaine, Loire-Atlantique, and Morbihan regions, which remain under red alert for exceptional river flooding.

In Guipry-Messac, near Rennes, hundreds of homes and businesses are submerged, leaving locals devastated.

The storms, fueled by saturated soils and heavy rainfall, have brought wind gusts exceeding 100 km/h along the coasts.

Emergency services are working tirelessly to rescue residents and mitigate damage.

With more rain forecasted, officials warn of worsening conditions in the coming days.
