Two Algerian nationals, under orders to leave France, were arrested on Christmas Eve for robbing a pharmacy in Ivry-sur-Seine.
They were released due to insufficient detention space and the minor value of the stolen items.
Days later, they were caught attempting another theft in Thiais.
Initially, the pharmacy case was dismissed, but authorities reopened it after the second arrest.
The suspects are now set to face trial for both incidents.
