Three young men, aged 19 and 20, have been arrested in France for allegedly planning a violent attack using explosive devices.

The suspects, detained in Nîmes and Nantes, are accused of ordering materials to create homemade bombs.

Two of them face charges for unauthorized bomb-making and possession of explosive substances, while all three are charged with criminal terrorist association.

The group, reportedly radicalized by jihadist ideologies, communicated via encrypted messaging and considered targeting the Poitiers town hall, a site of historical significance.

The investigation, initiated on November 20, is now under judicial scrutiny, highlighting ongoing concerns about jihadist threats in France.
