France has reported a significant 29% drop in anti-Muslim acts in 2024 compared to the previous year, with 173 incidents recorded.
These acts, which include damage to property and personal attacks, represent 7% of all anti-religious incidents.
Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau highlighted the launch of a new association, ADDAM, to better support victims and track such cases.
Additionally, a parliamentary mission has been announced to address the sensitive issue of Muslim burial spaces in cemeteries.
The Forum of Islam in France (FORIF) continues to foster dialogue between the Muslim community and authorities, aiming to address challenges and prevent radicalization.
Despite the decline, officials acknowledge that many incidents may go unreported.
