Former members of La France Insoumise (LFI) have formed a new political group called 'L'Après' (The After).
Led by Alexis Corbière, Raquel Garrido, Hendrik Davi, Danielle Simonnet, and Clémentine Autain, the group aims to build a united left-wing front.
The founders claim they were 'purged' from LFI after the party tried to prevent their re-election in recent legislative elections.
'L'Après' stands for 'Association pour la République écologique et sociale' and is aligned with the New Popular Front.
The group's creation has sparked controversy, with LFI member Adrien Quatennens pointing out that the association was officially formed on May 21, before the alleged 'purge'.
The founders defend this early formation, citing growing disagreements within LFI and the need for a unifying political tool.
