Storm Darragh has prompted Météo-France to issue an orange alert for strong winds and snow in 15 French departments, primarily in the northwest and southwest regions.
The storm, moving from England to Belgium, has caused significant wind gusts, leading to the suspension of train services in Normandy and Brittany.
The UK has also been severely affected, with the Met Office issuing a rare red alert for violent winds in parts of England and Wales.
Power outages have impacted thousands of homes, and transportation disruptions are widespread, including train cancellations and airport restrictions.
Authorities urge residents to stay indoors and exercise caution as the storm continues to impact the region.
