A tragic fire in Nice on July 18 claimed the lives of seven members of a Comorian family, including three children aged 5, 7, and 10. The fire, believed to be arson linked to a drug trafficking dispute, has led to the identification of five suspects aged between 17 and 25. The fourth suspect, a 17-year-old from Seine-Saint-Denis, was arrested at the Franco-Spanish border and has confessed to his involvement, stating he was paid to participate in the crime.
He, along with three others already detained, faces charges of organized arson resulting in death, which could lead to life imprisonment.
A memorial service held on July 27 drew over 1,500 attendees, highlighting the community's grief and calling for justice for the victims.
