Omar Ben Laden, the son of the infamous terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden, has been banned from returning to France following a legal decision confirmed by French authorities.
Omar, who had been residing in Normandy with his British spouse, was expelled from France in 2023 after being accused of promoting terrorism on social media.
The French Interior Minister, Bruno Retailleau, announced the administrative ban, citing national security concerns.
Omar Ben Laden, who had lived in France for several years and worked as an artist, was ordered to leave the country after a controversial tweet in 2021 commemorating his father's death.
The tweet, which praised the actions of his father, led to his indictment for glorifying terrorism, although he was later released.
The decision to ban him from France permanently underscores the country's firm stance on national security and counter-terrorism measures.
