France is bracing for severe weather as Météo-France has issued an orange alert for heavy rain and potential flooding across several departments.
The alert affects areas from Limousin to the Northern Alps, including Isère, Savoie, Ain, Jura, and Haute-Savoie.
The region is expected to experience continuous rainfall, with accumulations reaching up to 100 millimeters.
The Grand Morin River in Seine-et-Marne is also at risk of overflowing.
Residents are advised to exercise caution, especially in areas prone to flooding and landslides.
The weather disturbance is expected to persist, moving eastward, with the most intense rainfall predicted for Thursday afternoon and evening.
